What happens when TRX inventor and CEO Randy Hetrick has a chance run in with his old pal, elite strength and conditioning coach, Todd Durkin while on vacation in Vail? A brutal, total-body workout challenge, of course. As luck would have, it Hetrick’s son Harri was on the scene with camera in hand to capture the carnage for Men’s Health.


Think you can keep up with thee two training titans? Give this challenge shot:


TRX Y Deltoid Fly (30 Seconds AMRAP)
With the Suspension Trainer at mid length, stand facing your anchor point with your arms over your shoulders in a ‘Y’ position. Lower your body down while keeping both arms straight. Pull up to return.


Rest 15 Seconds


TRX Burpee Right Leg (30 Seconds AMRAP)
With the Suspension Trainer at mid calf place one foot in both foot cradles.
Drive your suspended leg back, lower your hips until back knee is two inches from ground. Place your hands on the ground and hop your grounded leg straight back to a plank position. Perform a pushup then hop your grounded leg forward and explode up to a jump.


Rest 15 Seconds


TRX Burpee Left Leg (30 Seconds AMRAP)
With the Suspension Trainer at mid calf place one foot in both foot cradles.
Drive your suspended leg back, lower your hips until back knee is two inches from ground. Place your hands on the ground and hop your grounded leg straight back to a plank position. Perform a pushup then hop your grounded leg forward and explode up to a jump.


Your score is your total number of reps. Durkin and Hetrick both banged out an impressive 79.
