TRX Pistol Squats with Coach Dos

Last month, we introduced you to Nick Grantham, strength and conditioning coach for several high level sports teams in Great Britain. Nick recently created a DVD and companion manual called “Prepare 2 Perform,” a comprehensive and practical movement prep program, and he contacted our friend Coach Dos to write the foreword for the manual. In it, Dos states that because of the vast amount of info out there on strength and conditioning, consumers need to pick and choose their information source wisely. "It is extremely important to educate oneself when deciding exactly who to listen to or to decipher between sound information versus information that is off base," says Dos.

 

We couldn’t agree more. Both Nick and Dos definitely belong to the former category of information. The sound advice they offer is the result of years of experience. After 20 years in the S&C game, Dos has long since identified what works, which is why the TRX has become a staple in the conditioning programs of all his athletic teams at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California. Here, he shares some of the top TRX moves he uses with his athletes to develop explosive power and strength.
